As of October 1, 2015, Air Panama has opened a new daily route connecting David, Chiriqui Isla Colon and Changuinola in Bocas del Toro.
“We listen to our customers, both destinations have been asking us to fly the route again. We believe this airlift will facilitate trade and tourism between the two places,” says Eduardo Stagg, general manager of Air Panama.
“Those living in David will be able to enjoy the beaches, restaurants and nightlife of Bocas del Toro and those living in Bocas del Toro can go shopping and do business in David,” says Ursula Kiener, manager of Air Panama Travel.
“We created promotional fares vacation packages including hotel, flight and transfer to Bocas Chiriqui and Costa Rica,” said Kiener.
Monday through Friday there will be two daily flights, departing from David at either 7am or 2:45pm, arriving in Bocas at 7:30am or 3:20pm.
Saturdays departures are at 7:00am, arriving at 7:30am.
Sunday departure at 3:45pm, arriving at 4:45pm.
The airlift is also available to connect the two cities with San Jose, Costa Rica. Passengers will leave San Jose at 11:45am, arriving in David at 1:45pm and connect to Bocas at 2:45pm, arriving to Isla Colon at 3:20pm. The departure from Bocas del Toro is at 8:11am arriving in David at 8:30am to connect with San Jose at 11:00am.
The San Jose connection with David and Bocas will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
